- The task of the Legal Affairs Department is to provide legal support in realisation of the competencies of the AEC.
- The team of the Legal Affairs Department participates in the preparation of regulations and legislation in the field of electronic communications;
- Provides opinions and suggestions on consumer rights protection, control and monitor the procedureupon requests submitted regarding protection of consumer rights;
- Organises the supervision of the operators and providers of electronic communication services in terms of respect of the obligations set by the law;
- Controls and organises the preparation of the regulations adopted by the Director;
- Gives an opinion to the state administration and other organisations and institutions on specific issues related to the AEC working;
- Provides comments and recommendations to the Commission regarding the prepared regulations, explanation about the implementation of the laws, international treaties and other regulations of the jurisdiction of the AEC and gives an opinion on the rights, duties and obligations of the AEC under the law;
- Organizes and monitor the procedure for dispute resolution and conducts legal analyses on behalf of the AEC;
- Gives an opinion on the procedures for the procurement of equipment and services for the need of the AEC in terms of their compliance with the legislation, opinion regarding the realization of the rights and obligations of employees employed in the AEC ,
- Explain the application of laws, international treaties and other regulations in the field of telecommunications;
- Implements legal analyses on behalf of the AEC and monitor and study the legislation in the field of telecommunications;
- Prepares requests for initiation of offense or criminal action against illegal users of radio frequencies; Explain the application of laws, international treaties and other regulations in the fieldof radiocommunications.
