Manages the activities of the Radiocommunications Department relating to the efficient and rational use and planning of radio frequency spectrum in accordance with domestic and international regulations and standards.
The Team in the Radiocommunications Department monitors and organizes the award of the authorizations for radio frequency use; Participates in the procedure for determining the amount of the fee for use of radio frequencies; Participates in the process of radio frequencies coordination; Proposes to carry out the public tender procedure for radio frequency allocation; Participates in international organisations;
Participates in the work of the international bodies and conferences in the field of radiocommunications; Monitors and examines the international decisions, recommendations and standards; Provides opinions and suggestionsregarding technical standards and procedures for approval of radiocommunications terminal equipment;Monitors the development of radiocommunications and gives opinions and proposalsregarding the preparation, implementation and updating of the Plan of radio frequency bands allocation and the Plan of assignment and use of radio frequencies; Organises public hearing with the stakeholders prior the adoption or amending the regulation determining the amount of the fee for radio frequency use.
Within the Radiocommunications Department there are two Divisions:
1. Fixed and Mobile Service Division
The team monitors the application and registration of assigned radio frequencies in the International Telecommunication Union; Participates in the preparation of information and platforms for international conferences and meetings; Participatesin the drafting ofcross borderagreements for radio frequency coordination; Controls and monitors the effective use of radio frequency spectrum;
2. Broadcasting and Satellite Service Division
Manages the activities of the broadcasting and satellite service relating to the efficient and rational use and planning of radio frequency spectrum in accordance with domestic and international regulations and standards.
The team is responsible for monitoring the implementation and regular updating of the Plan of radio frequency bands allocation; Monitors reporting and registration of assigned radio frequencies in the International Telecommunication Union; Participates in the preparation of information and platforms for international conferences and interstate meetings; Participates in the development of interstate agreements for radio frequency coordination, controls and monitors the effective use of radio frequency spectrum; participates in the procedure for determining the amount of the annual fee for radio frequency use.
